Hi, and welcome to our site. We are the newly formed 3rd (inner) unit for the Leicester West district Explorer Scouts.

When Explorers were originally conceived, it was perceived that there would be various units that could be based around certain activities. We at Wet-wet-west decided to theme our unit around Water sports. Working alongside Hotdoggers throughout the summer months at the Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre, our Explorers carry on into the Winter. Yes! This means breaking ice with our paddles!

Our plan is to Kayak, Canoe, Sail and generally have fun on the water. This is not all though. We all love camping. Of course! So we are also planning Traditional Canoe camps, (bivvying under tarps anyone?) along with the usual camps that we ALL know and love.
